8th Together Against Stigma Conference - 2017

Global alliance

ONE OF US is part of the Global Anti-Stigma Alliance (GASA), an international network of national campaigns founded in 2012 to share knowledge, evidence, materials and best practices. The GASA group usually meets every 18-24 month with a face to face event or ahead of the WPA Openings Doors stigma research conferences.

The key principles of the network are empowerment, equality and dignity, with emphasis on recovery and an effective evidence-based approach. GASA operates with a duel focus: to create public awareness about stigma to promote inclusion, and to reach people with lived experience with the aim of empowering them and preventing self-stigma.
